Hi, My personal feeling has been that if you have a spouse with PD it is like having a baby. This is in terms of the amount of attention and emotional support that a PD patient requires from their family. My father who has PD loves children pationately, however, he is at a stage now that he thinks that children get scared when they see him because of his physical look. He has had PD for 10 years. He is 66. He is very skinny. His back is at a 90 degree angle as he walks. He looks like he is 100 years old instead. This makes him feel like kids might think weird thoughts of him so he now doesn't allow any kids in his room. Just a thought. Good luck, and best of wishes.
