Paul and I oversaw the care of my step-mother for almost eight years. She did
not have PD but will share some of the secrets we learned from the
convalescent home.

For constipation they gave her milk of magnesia laced with cascara. It looked
like one of those beautiful desserts one orders in a French restaraunt. The
milk of magnesia was the white background with the brown cascara sworled
through it. The dose was in a very small cup taken with a chaser of juice of
apple sauce.

There was one other use for milk of mag. that I have never seen or read about
anywhere. For pressure sores it was swabbed on the sore with a "Qtip."
