while it is certainly justified to say that there is insufficient data on whether the effects of pallidotomy are long lasting, by the same token it is unjustified to claim the that effects disseapear in a few yaers or less. I've read all the published data on pallidotomies in papers refernced in medline, and i've seen no data to support this claim, made by dr. kelley among others. --- Seth L.
