PACEMAKER FOR PD: There was recent inquiry as to a "PACEMAKER FOR PD" here. Dr. Adler of the MAYO Clinic branch in Arizona mentioned in a lecture that in FRANCE they use electrodes with "high frequency" to control PD> The lecture was on PALLIDOTOMY and was not dealt with in depth. I am not sure if the electrodes are implanted (permanent) or temporary. I am not sure what "high frequency" is. I am not sure if treatment is continuos or intermitnent.
