Can anyone give me a reaction to or citation for the claim that
blanket-tossing was a means of inducing labor in medieval times?  I must
have read such a claim in reference to the comical punishment of Mak in
the Second Shepherds' Play.  Since I'm new to this list, if this subject
has been discussed before, responses could be sent directly to me. Thanks--
