I forgot something that is important to some of you. Monday, March 6, at the evening news which is either at 10 or 11 PM on channel 5 our of Chicago, Station WMAQ-TV will be interviewing Dr. Penn, neurosurgeon with Rush-Pres Medical Center. As I understand it, the interview will be about 3 minutes. They asked for my video which I provided FX Saturday AM. My video runs 75 minutes and I did say they could cut and paste a little. I would like some one to tape it and send it to me (if they used any of my video). At least let me know what was said. The WSJ article started a lot of publicity for Parkinson's disease. All three major networks will be doing something on the pallidotomy. We saw what ABC did. I know what NBC is doing I just do not know when. And CBS has been calling people, so I assume something is going on. The LA TImes is expected to follow a patient through the pallidotomy at UCI with Dr. Michael Dogali. That may be this week. Keep your eyes open in the smog for this one. Since I published the Movers & Shakers newsletter listing neurosurgeons performing pallidotomy / thalamotomy surgery, I have been told about four or five more. Possibly AZ, CO, TX, MO and FL. I am checking these out. This is why discussing neurosurgeons is very important. Regards, Alan Bonander ([log in to unmask])
