Dystonia is a condition of forcible muscle contraction and it
can actually be seenin PD in three different ways. Firstly, and
least often it may be the earliest manifestation of the disease
such as a foot cramp or toe curling. Then it can be seen as a
side effect of the peak of sinemet. In other words, when sinemet's
working there can be forced postures or postions of some body parts.
Finally it can be seen when sinemet wears off. This last problem
is best treated with sinemet-CR.
