There has been a number of messages indicating that the age of the patient could indicate that treatment "should not be worried about" or similar sentiments. I take exception to this. The age of patient can be a factor but in addition how much more life is there. If a person is in the 70's with only PD a life expectency of 20-30 years is not unreasonable and concern for "long term" is very clearly needed. An individual with multiple diseases in there 40's engaging is behavior that increases risk (either medical or personal) may have a short lifespan and no "long term" is needed. I take exception to suggestions that any individual is too old to worry about the future. Thank you for your time...Colman Wendy, Nancy, Debbie or Colman Mullin [log in to unmask]
