I've seen "computer desks" for sale that allow you to mount the monitor
sort of *under* the desk top.  There is a square hole in the desktop
through which you view the monitor screen.  When you're looking at the
monitor, your head is at the same angle (almost) as if you were looking at
the keyboard and your hands.  I don't know how expensive these types of
desks are, though.

The "standard" Windows keyboard technique for selecting text is to hold
down the shift button and use the arrow keys to extend the highlight.
Home and End get you to the beginning and end of the line, respectively,
and if you hold down the shift key while pressing Home or End you can
extend the highlight to the beginning or end of the line.  Once
highlighted, use Alt-E to open the Edit menu (but you probably know this
:-)
