Some insightful list member recently suggested that because of his
problems in reading the monitor with bifocals he bought a pair of
over-the-counter reading glasses. Thinking that his suggestion might be
helpful for me, I called my ophthalmologist's office, asking that his nurse
check my records and give me the reading strength of my trifocals. To my
surprise, she called back to say the physician suggested a +4 level for
reading a newspaper, etc., but for reading the computer monitor, he said a
+3.25 would work better. FYI.
