Dear Barbara, Thanks for your message - I had no idea that there were so many Parkinson's Foundations. Doesn't seem right to me. The booklet that I refer to is called "Facts on Surgical Alternatives" (for Parkinson's Disease and Essential Tremor Patients). It is printed and distributed by UPF/ITF - The United Parkinson's Foundation and the International Tremor Foundation. Their addrress :- 833 West Washington Boulevard Chicago, Illinois 60607 Telephone 312 733 1893 The Preface is by Harold L Klawans MD, Director, Movements Disorder Clinic, Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center Chicago. It deals with Thalamotomy, Pallidotomy,Vim/Stim (The implantation of a device similar to a pacemaker) and Fetal Tissue Transplant. Each section is written by a different specialist. It is excellent and should be read by everyone considering surgery as a treatment. Hope this is of some use. John Park
