Hello everyone. My name is Bill Harper and I am a pharmacist in Arkansas. My interest in the parkinsn list is two fold. 1) My 70 year old father has had PD for approx. 15 years and 2) My pharmacy is located in a retirement village with PD affecting several of my patients. All info I obtain will be shared with those I come in contact with. My main interest at this moment concerns my dad. His "on" time when taking sinemet have shorted conciderably over the past couple of years. At this point he is extremely healthy except for the PD. His heart, blood pressure etc are excellant but he cannot function except for a period of and hour or so after taking his sinemet. He saw the report on TV on pallidotomy( I did not) and ow seems determine to have the operation. He has asked me to ask Ya'all for info and experience related to pallidotomy. He intends to be evaluated in Chicago soon-but I feel he needs much more info than one tv show to proceed. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
