Very recently the American Parkinson Disease Association released an new guide for young-onset PD. The book is called "Young Parkinson's Handbook", A Guide For Patients and Their Families. This book is edited by Arlette Johnson, Coordinator for the APDA Young Parkinson's Information and Referral Center. The book is free of charge by calling the national office of APDA at 800-223-2732. I want to stress that the material referenced is about Young-Onset Parkinson's disease. YO-PD normally is defined as having symptoms prior to age 40. I have already found it to be a valuable aid when discussing various issues of YO-PD. If you are a member of an APDA Young PD Support Group you should have received a copy. If not call APDA at the above number and ask that a copy be sent you. You will find it a very worthwhile reference. Regards, Alan Bonander ([log in to unmask])
