Hi all, My father has PD, and his brother has it, too. Their father may have had it as well, I'm told. I can't seem to get a straight answer about heredity, but I have heard the "alchoholism" explanation; that is, PD, like alchoholism, is caused by a combination of environmental factors and a genetic predisposition to it. I haven't heard what environmental factors (pesticides, foods, etc.) are suspected to influencePD, but I'd like to hear anything anyone else has to say about it. Monica
