This is not re: Emory, however my mother had a successful pallidotomy performed at University of Nebraska Medical Center by Dr.Patil this May. She is not over seventy, but has had PD since she was 38 y/o (she isnow 61) and was very debilitated and had difficulty communicating during procedure.
