How could one suggest >it without them taking offense!!!!! >From John and Greta To all of you who have received useful information from the "Algorithm" and have commented on it, the pleasure has been mine. I first heard a presentation on it in March at a PD Symposium. The handouts were just the graphics(which I didn't include in my messages). My note taking being what it is couldn't keep with all the useful stuff and medical spelling is not my forte. I did notice on the handouts made references to Neurology. I looked the supplement up, which was in the December 1994 edition, at the medical library. I faxed the pages into my computer, used optical character recognition and many hours reformating the information and correcting errors caused by all this convoluted technology. The focus of presenting the entire document(less some of the References) was for the 90% of the world which the family doctor diagnoses and treats the Parkinsonian patient with out access to associations and publications which combine most of the current knowledge on managing this ailment. This information is not intended to be a substitute for a medical professional but perhaps enrich their understanding with the limited resources and time that doctors around the world have. Patients, Care-Givers and support groups need this information also. The medications discussed may not be available everywhere but were noted by their generic names when not capitalized. Trade names may vary from country to country. Please note that I am an itinerent<G> and can be reached at either: [log in to unmask] or [log in to unmask] John Cottingham * 1st 2.00e #803 *
