A few months ago what I thought was muscle strain from working out too hard
was diagnosed as PD. Right arm is stiff and a slight limp on the right side
and general slowness. I am 50 years old with no history in family.

I heard of a study going on in Philadelphia concerning the role of
Gangliosids in PD, asked my Neurologist about it and he said that it was THE
study for a guy with mild to moderate symptoms to be in.

They want you off Eldepryl for two months prior to the 4 month study. Have
had two baseline days of testing and will have one more on the 20th of June.
On that day I will also start the double blind study.

I work in marketing for an appliance company...I have NO idea if this study
will help me. But I do feel good that I am doing something that could help
me and perhaps also help some of you.

I think they still have a few openings left. If you live near Philadelphia
and are interested I suggest that you first ask your doctor about this study
and afterwards call the Study Coordinator, Ms. Jillian Crilly at 215-762-3066
for information. You will talk to her voice mail but she always returns
calls as soon as she can. Go gangliosides!
