I have one idea to add. How about doing a survey of some organizations that have hosted coop students in the past, to discover what types of reports they would find most useful. I suspect you'd find the problem/analysis/recommendion report mentioned by Doug to be very popular. Actually, you could have students negotiate with their host organizations to find out in each case what the organization would find most useful. This approach would more or less guarantee a report addressing real needs and a receptive audience. This may come too late to serve you this time round, but I thought I'd send the idea along anyway.
