Wendy,

I think we need to be seeking truth, not blame. When we get an illness that
seems so arbitray as PD one response is to become enraged and want to fight
back at "whoever" has injured us. If it turns out that pesticides or
whatever have caused my disability and someone knew or should have known
that this was the case I sure would join your lawsuit or whatever and try to
seek justice. But I for one am not going to focus my efforts on that.

Let us get data systematically, participate in every reasonable reseach
effort we can- including looking both with interest and with caution at
alternative medicine. Also political activism is crucial.

We need answers but also caution. Let us approach the problem critically.
If we don't we're liable in our despiration to fall for the first snake oil
salesman who comes our way.

Parkinsons Disease -and ignorace about it - is the enemy. Knowledge and
those who seek it are our allies- whether from the alternative
community-from the universites- or from the drug companies(not my
favorites).

I hope you (and the rest of us) are able to attain our goals. I am just
suggesting the path I think gives us all the best chance.

Best of luck,

Charlie
