Katie,
Dr. Robert Atkins, was I think a former cardiologist or something, now
practices what he calls "complementary medicine," which tries to take the
best of both conventional and alternative therapies most applicable to a
given situation. He has a center in NYC, which is I assume the source for
the newsletter, called Dr. Atkins Center for Complementary Medicine. He's
written at least a couple books, "Dr. Atkins Diet Revolution" and "Dr. Atkins
Health Revolution." I think he also has a weekly radio show in NYC. His
address is 55th St (I think the number is 400 E 55th St., but not totally
sure). Related to this is a place near Princeton, NJ calledl the "Brain Bio
Center." Two doctors from there, who previously worked with Dr. Atkins,
wrote a book, "The Healing Nutrients Within", which discusses the role of
nutrition, especially amino acids (which are the precursors of
neurotransmitters, including dopamine) in treating disease, esp. neurological
disease. For PD, as I understand it, they use the standard drugs, but also
supplement those with alternative therapies. I don't know if they also know
of this NADH, but they may. Their number there is: 609-924-8607, and address
is 862 State Highway No. 518, Skillman, NJ. Good luck!! Wendy
