Wendy, As usual, you raised some provocative questions. As far as nationality is concerned, I'm supposedly 100 percent Italian (though I doubt it), and I know of quite a few Italians with Parkinson's. They're all from New Jersey, though, so that may be the risk factor rather than the genes. I've heard of a family from Naples with many pd relatives. I wondered if they might be related, since my paternal grandfather is Neopolitan and from that area. But despite a large extended family, I'm the only one I know of with the disease. Lucky me! Pat
