My father had a pallidotomy done on the right side over three years ago.
It helped his speech but not his walking.  His condition had become worse
(he is 76 yrs old and has had PD for over 20 yrs) and would like to try a
pallidotomy on his left side.  His goal is to walk better.
 
He is under the impression that surgeons are reluctant to perform another
pallidotomy on a patient once one has been done.  Does anyone have any
information concerning another pallidotomy for my father?
