Hi and Thanks for all the great responses on fava beans! This might be a foolish question, but I'm a bit confused on the 'hull', 'shell' etc . . . which part of the bean is this. When we cook the beans, an outer covering comes off - is this the hull or shell? Or do these beans grow similarly to peas i.e. several beans in a pod and therefor the pod would be the shell? When prepared are you not supposed to eat this hull or shell or is this (supposedly) where the dopamine is? Thanks in advance. . . LCarper [log in to unmask] --
