Yes, it's administrivia time again!

Some people have reported difficulties communicating with the list or the
listserv at their old-style BITNET addresses ([log in to unmask] or
[log in to unmask]). If you are at a non-BITNET site, or indeed at
any site with an IP address (eg, one which ends with a country code like
'.ca' or '.uk' or a classification code like '.edu', '.com', or '.gov'),
you should use the following addresses for this list or for the listserv:

for this list, send postings to [log in to unmask]
for the listserv, send commands to [log in to unmask]

If you are at a BITNET site, then you should still be able to use
'utoronto.bitnet' as the hostname, but even so you might be safer to use
the IP addresses given above.

This is all not withstanding the fact that the automatic messages
generated by our listserv still gives BITNET rather than IP addresses! I
will try to straighten this out once our listserv wizard returns from the
back of beyond, where he goes trekking (literally, not as in "Keep on
Trekkin', Jim") every year for his holidays....

If there is anyone still reading this who was at SITM, some sort of
conference report of reflections would be nice for those of us who, for
one reason or another, couldn't attend the sessions!

A posting follows about another conference here in Toronto in the autumn!
