I heartily agree with the idea of sharing with children the realities of
family life, PD included.  Kids are quick to sense "family secrets", and
that leaves them in an ambiguous position, not a healthy one. Teenagers are
certainly old enough, and even 11 yr. olds, to be given the straight facts
along with the hope that research will find better treatments or a cure before
too many years.  As for telling the boss--that would perhaps depend on both
the ways in which your symptoms would (or would not) affect job prerformance,
and also on the relationships involved. Many younger Parkies/PDers work for
years after diagnosis, and are very productive.  Good luck!
