To quote the section on Parkinson's Disease:

"Parkinson's disease is a degenerative disease
affecting the nervous system. Its cause is unknown,
but symptoms occur when there is an imbalance of
dopamine and acetylcholine in the brain. Scientists
found a deficiency of dopamine in certain brain cells.
This chemical carries messages from one nerve cell to
another. When the brain is not able to manufacture
dopamine, Parkinson's disease results.

Malnutrition is believed to be a major underlying
factor.

The drug most often used treat this disease is
levodopa;however, it isn't effective alone and can
have serious side effects, including paranoia and
hallucinations. If taking this drug, do not take B6.
Taken together, vitamine B6 and levodopa elevate brain
dopamine. Using B6 alone is probably safer and is as
effective."

Since we have done nothing besides craniosacral
therapy for her symptoms, we thought it prudent
to try supplements first.

This summer has been very hard on both of us. Our
therapist moved away and she went without cranio-
sacral therapy for two months. She couldn't raise
herself out of a chair or get into bed without
assistance, couldn't walk without falling unless
firmly assisted.

Monday after two weeks of the megadose supplements
she got up without thinking and walked through the
house. She is still a little unsteady on the curves
and in turning around to sit down but what an improvement.

Begining this week she is taking 1 cc of B6 by injection
once a week.

I don't know anything about within or outside the blood
brain barrior. I only know what I see.

I'm very hopeful this is all cause and effect and that she
continues to improve or at least stays as good as she is
not.
