Jan, Eldepryl is an MAO-B inhibitor in the doses usually given for PD. As such, it does not present theoretically the MAO-ihibitors problems with tyramine. However, in higher doses it functions also as a MAO-A inhibitor. Hence, at higher doses all dietary rules pertinent to MAO- inhibitors should be in effect. I suggest that people on eldepryl consult their physicians and obtain a list (every hospital dietitian has it) of foods and drugs not recommended with MAOI's.
