I've been exploring the www and came upon the
Kombucha Home Page.
 
Kombucha is a fungus which has been grown
in Manchuria and other parts of the East
for centuries.
 
It grows in a medium of water, black tea and
sugar.
 
When the brew reaches a certain stage it is
drunk. Today over a million Japanese people drink it daily.
 
"There is an area in Russia called Kargasok, where the people
consume dairy products and vegetables, drink liquor and smoke.
They also drink this tea culture. . . .The women are virtually
without wrinkles, and few visable signs of aging"
 
It is claimed that the tea activates the glandular system,
stimulates metabolism, aids in weight reduction, lowers
uric acid, cholesterol, rhumatism, arthritis, neurasthenia,
stomach-liver-kidney disorders, gout, boils, artheroschlerosis,
hypertension, skin diseases. The tea is felt to rebuild the colon
flora and increase blood circulatin and aid those under stress.

4 helps allergies, also with aching nerves
