Re: Modems and lightning
I recently bought a Newpoint Business Computer-Grade surge
protector.
It includes a protector for the modem, and a $25,000 insurance
policy against surge-induced (and presumably lightning-induced)
damage to computer equipment. Office Max carries these (and other
brands, e.g. Curtis). Hope this is useful.
