re:cutting medicine
 
When I asked my Dad's doctor about "cutting out" some of his medications, he
understood me to say "cutting"  and explained that I should cut the pill in
half and look at it.  If it had a crystalline structure, it would be alright
to cut the pill in half.  If it seemed to contain small capsule-like shapes,
that would be an indication that it was time-released and shouldn't be cut.
 Wasn't the answer I was looking for, but one I filed away for future
reference...
 
now are we all confused?
