The old way was that long incoming files were broken into smaller pieces of approx. 28Kbytes. So, that your mail directory had files named : #1(3) Parkinson Digest - 5 Aug 1995 #2(3) Parkinson Digest - 5 Aug 1995 #3(3) Parkinson Digest - 5 Aug 1995 The new approach is to create a file containing only the first segment and then download the complete mail text file into a different directory, Online Downloads. So your mail file in the "Online Mail" directory looked like this : Parkinson Digest - 5 Aug And in the "Online Downloads" directory there would be a file Parkinsn.txt This textonly file "Parkinsn.txt" can not be read any light weight word processing application, like "SimpleText" I use MS-Word 4.0 word processor to read the file "Parkinsn.txt". Lots of Luck... =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Jon D. Stedman -> < [log in to unmask] > 1201-92 Sycamore Terrace Sunnyvale, CA 94086 408-247-6562 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
