I don't know this for sure, of course, but I think more lives were saved by DDT (through destroying malaria-carrying mosquitoes, for example) than were negatively affected. The same might be said for many of the other nasty chemicals we now use. Just a thought. Joanne Sandstrom [log in to unmask]
