Hi from the UK. I read with interest the correspondence about the lines of tape on the carpet and will be passing it on at our next society meeting. In the meantime, you might like to know that a recent letter in our UK magazine " The Parkinsonian " advocated the singing or humming of a lively tune to step out to. The correspondent says that it never fails for himself and others he has told about it. We'll be interested to hear about anybody else who tries it. Regards.
