Peninsula Parkinson's Support Groups' FALL MEETING Saturday, November 11, 1995, 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Los Altos Youth Center, 97 Hillview Avenue, Los Altos, CA 94022 You are invited to join us at the annual Fall Meeting. Once again we have scheduled outstanding speakers who will present useful and interesting information to Parkinson's patients and their families and friends. There will be a question and answer session following each presentation, and participants are invited to submit questions ahead of time. Information tables will be set up at the venue. AGENDA 12:30 to 1:00 Registration and refreshments 1:00 to 2:00 Dr. Sam Goldman, project manager of the Twin Studies in Parkinson's Disease, will discuss the study and its attempt to clarify the genetic versus environmental cause of Parkinson's. 2:00 to 2:15 Break 2:15 to 3:00 Linda Alfano, M.Ed., who is a counselor and hypnotherapist, will discuss Life is Play Instead of a Struggle - Humor and Health. 3:00 to 3:30 Refreshments DIRECTIONS From HWY 101 Exit onto San Antonio Road going West. Keep going past El Camino Real. Look for the De Martini Orchard on the right. Turn left at the City Hall (just past Almond Avenue). The Los Altos Youth Center is on the right. Follow the signs to the parking lot. From HWY 280 Exit onto El Monte going East towards Mountain View Turn left onto Foothill Expressway. Turn right onto San Antonio Road. HELP WANTED FOR THE FALL MEETING Assistance is needed in the following areas: * Setting up tables and chairs between 11:30 and 12:30, and packing them away between 3:00 and 4:00 * Assist with registration as people arrive at the meeting. * Driving shuttles taking participants from the parking lot to the meeting site. * Advertising - contacting local radio and tv stations * Putting up direction signs in and around the venue * Solicit donations to underwrite this activity of PPSG on behalf of all people living with Parkinson's.
