Dear David,
'....earmarks of a scam' ?????? I don't know if I am the one to whom you
are referring however if I am I will be more than happy to 'respond'
(although not necessarily 'rebut') your message.
Jeff nor I have any financial interest in our source of NADH. We receive no
commission, discount or any other incentive for any new customers they may
get because of my comments on NADH. The reason (I suppose) NADH is available
from 'one counter' is thanks to the FDA and it's beauacracy (sp). The way I
understand it is the NADH is manufactured by Menuco and The Life Extension
Foundation is a distributor. By the way, we are currently having our local
pharmacist check into becoming a distributor so that would be 2 'counters'
than I know of. Perhaps you should talk to your pharmacist about becoming a
distributor as well.
How did you arrive at your $5.00 a day dosage???? No one ever told Jeff to
take 1, 2, 3 or 300 NADH a day.He started with one but found the most
optimum effects were at 4 per day. Of course it's expensive and we're
fortunate we are able (so far) to afford it - NO, it's not a cure but rather
we feel it does buy some time until a cure is found. And the time it buys is
more productive time and more rewarding and fulfilling time than without the
NADH. It may very well not work for everyone or even anyone else besides
Jeff - I posted our 'findings' as an FYI for others, if interested, to
pursue research readings or with their doctors.
To your question for an address it is as follows: 1415 NE 17th Court, Ft.
Lauderdale FL 33305. Web page address is http://www.webcom.com/~lef/index.html.
Now some questions for you -
Have you called the 800 number?
Have you searched for research papers on your own? (which I would think
would be more trustworthy-independent research and all)
Should I cite research to you (to) support Jeff's results? I suggest *you*
look since you may find my credibility questionable.
Post technical information? David, people have recently been posting
concerns about things like technical posts because of the time involved in
downloading/cost, etc.
What has your neurologist's response been in the past to non-FDA approved
treatment?
How many of your friends doctor's have given their blessing to non-FDA
approved methods?
Do you have PD or are you caregiver? If you are a caregiver, what is your
relationship to that person; friend? neighbor? son? brother?.
As the caregiver to Jeff (my husband) I have seen this 45 year young man go
from vibrant and with his site set on tomorrow's successes to off balance
and praying for something that will allow him to enjoy his 11 and 8 yr old
growing up the way any non-PDer does.. . that is, taking 'part' in their
developement and not sitting at the sidelines until the 'medicine kicks in'.
I suppose it is possible that a charlatan could invade our space with
his/her eye on a profit. And you're wise to question and be on alert. I have
said many times in my posts that we all must be our own number 1 advocate
and accept all the responsibilities that go along with that. I offer Jeff's
experience with NADH as an FYI. As Jeff says, 'who knows, maybe it's a
placebo effect. . . .but who cares, I know I'm feeling and moving better so
placebo or not. .. I'm better'.
Please do us all a favor - be sure to post your independent findings for all
of us to share. And if you find another distributor/source for NADH, let me
know - I'm always ready for a better price :)
Regards, Lisa Carper
