I agree - You can break the regular yellow Sinemet tablets but not the CR - The make up of the CR tablet decreases in effectivness when breaking it and it dissolves the layers much more quickly than it was intended when developed. It needs to be in whole form to dissolve in the proper time period to work. Talk with your neuroloogist. I'll bet the suggestion for breaking was meant for the yellow regular tablets. Take care.
