Just thought you might be interested in an article in Science News, Oct. 7th about transplanting pig fetal cells into the brain of 3 Parkinson's patients. It seems to have worked after 5 months as it "... appears there's a living, dopamine-producing graft..." in the first patient to get a PET scan.
