Yes, Holbrook is related in Raymond Williams, in the same way Leavis is. They were both Leavis's students (I think). Leavis wrote New Bearings in English Poetry, Holbrook wrote Lost Bearings in English Poetry. He's into "Philosophical Anthropology", has written on Plath (opposing Alvarez)and Dylan Thomas, values Polanyi and Marjorie Grene, and quotes D. W.
