The person to ask about copyright matters is Prof. Ian Lancashire, current Director of the Centre for Computing in the Humanities at the U. of Toronto ([log in to unmask]). I know that he's had to struggle with this matter. I also know, from teaching film, that you are absolutely right about Cdn. vs US copyright laws in the areas of videos etc. It is a total pain trying to teach film when the laws work against education.
