I just want to say a big thankyou to all you good people on this list, especially those who responded to my request for in formation about Permax (Pergolide). Thanks to the replies from you I was able to see my doctor, get it prescribed and wean (titrate) myself on to it. So good has been the result that I have now reduced my intake of Sinemet CR down to ONE HALF of what I was taking before. I now have a pronounced "off" time late in the evening, but during the day I often can almost forget that I have PD. To any "lurkers" thinking about joining in, "come on down !". If you want to know more about living with PD ask these good people here. All you have to lose are your problems!! To Mark Raft, who had a private reply from me about his mother, all I can say is "get that piano back", because once she is stabilised on a good cocktail, she'll regret having sold it. I am so improved that I am once again playing keyboard for worship in our church. To the person whose mother is not happy about using conventional medication, please pass these comments on to her. Life IS worth living, and you can even more active, useful and happy with the right mix of PD drugs. Just have the patience to hang in there and get your own particular cocktail worked out - you'll know when it's right and you won't regret it. Again, thanks to you all.
