I am writing to all of you to see if any of you have had any personal knowledge of working with the Neurologists at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota for either your Parkinsons or upper back surgery for a herniated disk. My partner, Tom, has a very bad herniated disk at C6-7 and we have had four consultations who all indicate surgery. We have had two from orthopedic surgeons and two from neurosurgeons. We are lucky enough to live in Minnesota (yes, even in the BELOW FREEZING weather!) and, therefore, can go to the Mayo Clinic without long distant travelling. We are just checking with all of you on the Internet to see if you have any personal experiences with the clinic and PD and any information on personal experiences with the surgery to repair a herniated disk.
