A question was asked about the suitability of wheeled walkers for PD folks. The regular walkers with wheels are flimsy looking. At the apartment complex where my mothers lives I see some people with very sturdy looking three wheeled walkers. The single wheel is in front, there are hand brakes on each handle, a seat to sit on and a basket for carrying things....the "pushers" I talked to said they felt safe with these walkers. I don't know if any of the pushers had PD; arthritis and stroke were my amateur diagnosis. Margaret Mates [log in to unmask]
