Hi,

I couldn't believe it when I was listening to a television
newsbreak. U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno has been diagnosed as having
Parkinson's Disease! Well, she isn't real young, but she certainly is
not real old either. Through this list, I came to know of young people,
much younger than Ms. Reno, that have had Parkinson's.

Until I started reading this listserv, I thought it was an old
person's disease. The only positive is that someone in such a high
profile position in our government will hopefully educate others on
the productivity and capability of Parkinson's patients, at any age.
Don't ever leave that office, Janet Reno! We need to show the world
that Parkinson's is not a fatal disease in and of itself.

As a caregiver, I sympathize and understand the plight that she
may have to endure in the decades to follow. May God bless her.
