Brenner, welcome to the group.  I'm REALLY glad that you're here because
I've been dying to ask someone from DuPont, why did you guys stopped making
Symmetrel.  DuPont's preparation of that med was the best, and my husband
has had nothing but trouble with the various generic preparations on the
market.
 
We have found that ammantadine is habituating, so my husband goes into
withdrawal (gets really stiff) when the potency or preparation of that med
is different from what he has been taking.  Lately, because our pharmacy
gets the cheapest generic med. they can find and since those prices change
frequently, my husband has been having discomfort almost every month.  We
used to insist that our pharmacy stock Symmetrel, but now are told that
it is impossible to get that med because DuPont is not producing it.
What's going on?
