TO George M. Andes and his essay on The Insider

As you so eloquently state, we are different on the inside physically,
socially and emotionally. This changes us on the outside. I can look at PD
as a blessing for the many positive changes it has caused in my life, the
wonderful people I have met on this listservice and other places and for
slowing me down to stop and smell the roses. Parkinson s disease is not
the blessing, it is what has changed because of it that can be counted as a
blessing. If there were another way to do it, I would be on the higher path.

Thanks George for your wonderful story. It is important how we communicate
why we are the way we are. Blaming everything on PD is unfair to PD. That
was the way I felt in the past. Today, I feel totally justified simply
stating, Parkinson s caused that. I will let others decide if a more
comprehensive answer is requested.
