        Amantadine is to be taken twice a day, generally 12 hrs apart.
My husband has been taking this medication for at least ten years.  We
have found that he suffers from a radical increase in stiffness if he
stops taking the drug, or if he has to take a different generic
preparation--which leads us to believe that the drug may be habituating.
