Machine ate our first message. Gordon has had PD since--we feel-- he
got the swine flu shot-17 or so years ago. Starting in his right index
finger, as he put it. He was still a High School teacher, later a fishing
guide in Montana . Finally a year ago, had a thalomodomy on the right side
to allieviate tremors, withremarkable success. Later, a second one on the
other side, not as successful, but he is still much better. He actually went
fly-fishing on the sacramento last month, wading strongly out into the river.
Our surgeon is Dr. Kim Burchiel, Oregon health Sciences Un., in
Portland--the Oregon Medical School.
