This is an Excellent point. Not only are the victims unaware of the horrors
of this disease initially, but the public remains unaware even after
repeatedly hearing of or seeing case after case. A lot of people think it's
just an "inconvenient" tremor. This is what has always p---ed me off about
the attention Alzhemier's gets in fund-raising drives because it's sequellae
seem so dramatic compared to other neurologic disorders like PD, but, of
course, we all know differently. Somehow we should be able to get the message
across about PD without comparing it to other neurologic disorders.
