Help! Do you know of any graduate students who completed their master's theses in 1995 and who would make likely candidates for the Language Arts Researchers in Canada (LARC) Master's Thesis Award? The deadline for submissions was January 15 but the notice in CSSE News did not appear until just two or three days before the deadline. I have had three applications but they are all from the same institution, and I would like to have more submissions from a greater variety of universities. Look for the notice in the CSSE News just out. I will extend the deadline to the end of the first week in February. If you cannot find the CSSE News, please e-mail me with a fax number and I will fax the information to you right away. The area of research is broadly language arts education, including ESL, at all levels. We require an abstract of the thesis, of about 4 pages, and a copy of the document signed by the thesis examination committee showing successful defence of the thesis. A covering letter or note should give the name, address, phone and fax numbers of the applicant. TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT Trevor J.
