Hi, Renee. As reported in the (Toronto) Globe and Mail, Nov. 24/95, 'The procedure, known as a pallidotomy, has been performed on 80 patients at the Toronto Hospital in the past 3 1/2 years.' The two doctors involved in a study on the first 14 patients are Dr. Andres Lozano, a neurosurgeon at the Toronto Hospital and principal investigator of the study and Dr. Anthony Lang, professor of neurology at the University of Toronto and director of the Movement Disorders Centre at the Toronto Hospital. The Parkinson Foundation of Canada, 416-366-0099 or 1-800-565-3000, should be able to supply you with more information. Barb
